Mega is the area where Hand of Hope Ministries first began its' ministry.  We have partnered with the Mega Mekane Yesus Church to hire evangelists to work in various villages located outside of Mega.

Deeda Jaarsa is one of the first areas where Hand of Hope Ministries has had a presence.  Deeda Jaarsa has a solid group of believers who have been led by Dimtu.  Dimtu's love for the Lord and desire to have a church building led her to build a church in Deeda Jaarsa with her own hands.  The building, pictured below is the original church building.  In 2007, a more permanent church was built with funds raised by Hand of Hope Ministries. 

Dimtu is one of the strongest women you will ever meet.  She is fired up for Jesus and says that she will never stop spreading His message.  Dimtu is among the first of the Borana people to accept Christ as Savior more than thirty years ago.  Her husband stands behind her in her evangelistic work.

This energetic woman of God, built the church building pictured above  with her own hands.  Dimtu has served faithfully for many, many years.  We praise God for the group of believers in Deeda Jaarso who have grown in their faith under Dimtu's leadership.
