Gospel For All is a non-profit organization founded in September 2003 by Samuel & Vivian Dersu.  This ministry is the result of a vision and burden that God laid on their hearts.

Samuel Dersu grew up the son of a minister, Tuffa Deresu, in southern Ethiopia and accepted Christ as his Savior as a young child.  He is a direct result of the work of missionaries who came from Norway to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in Ethioipa.  Through a chain of events and God's protection and leading in his life, Samuel came to the United States in the fall of 1991.

Vivian was born and raised in Japan by missionary parents, Fred and Evelyn Hersey.   Growing up on the mission field, Vivian grew to have a heart for reaching the lost for Christ from a very young age.  She came to the United States to attend Free Will Baptist Bible College in the fall of 1981.

Samuel and Vivian along with their three daughters currently reside just outside of Nashville, TN.

The Beginnings of Gospel For All…… 

During the year 2000, my wife and I became aware of a small organization in Ethiopia called the Borana Outreach Ministry and organized by Solomon Yohannes.  God gave Solomon a vision and burden for reaching the Borana people of southern Ethiopia.  He contacted several people to join him with prayer and financial support for this vision and we happened to be one he sent a letter to.  

After much prayer and consideration, we felt God leading us to help support this ministry financially.  After supporting them for a couple of years and receiving regular progress reports, we were amazed at how many people were being reached with just a small amount of finances.  After seeing what could be done through a few people with limited finances, we began to think  how much more could be done if more finances were available. 

God then placed a heavier burden on our hearts to form an organization dedicated to actively reach the many unreached peoples of Ethiopia with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well as providing them with much needed education regarding HIV/Aids prevention.

During 2003 we started the process of becoming a legal non-profit organization and it was apparent from the beginning that God had His hand in this ministry. By September 2003 we were formally recognized as a religious non-profit organization and by the end of the year God blessed and we received approval from the IRS with IRC 501(c)(3)tax exempt status.
